To connect your Google mailbox to Unroll.Me, two options should be enabled in your Google Settings: two-step verification and app password. These requirements apply to third-party applications according to Google's Privacy Policy. Step-by-step instructions are available below.
NOTE: Some Gmail accounts through work, school, or other organizations are unable to create an App Password or set up 2-Step Verification. To read more about this, click here.
App passwords are only available when 2-Step Verification (2FA) is active on your account
How to connect a Google mailbox to Unroll.Me
on the desktop
- Click “Sign Up for Free” on Unroll.Me website on the desktop.
- Click “Add Mailbox” on the top-right corner of the website and choose “Google”.
- Enter your Gmail email address in the space provided and click "Continue".
- Click “Sign up manually instead” link under the QR code.
- Read your Consent to Collect and Share Your Data and click “Let’s Go”.
- Click "Enable 2-Step verification” button.
NOTE: If you already have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled, skip this step and proceed to step 9. - Sign in to "Google" account using passkey (fingerprint, face scan), enter your password or try another way.
- Follow Google's on-screen instructions to enable 2-step verification and after that go back to Unroll.Me page.
- Click “2-Step Verification Already Enabled” link.
- Click “Create App Password” button.
- Sign in to "Google" account using passkey (fingerprint, face scan), enter your password or try another way.
- To create a new app-specific password, type an App name "Unroll.Me" and click "Generate".
- Copy the app password and go back to Unroll.Me.
- Click “App Password Already Created” link.
- Paste the app password in the space provided and click "Connect”My Account”.
That's it, you're done!
